Nah, you just showed everyone that you’re the type of person who blames everyone else for your BS. If everyone is seeing the same things you’re doing, it’s not some made up excuse you’re suggesting, it’s the truth.

Holy shite, you may be a Madking alter.
Holy shite, dig yourself deeper.
I’ve seen this Madking post somewhere before, but, beyond that, I have no idea what you’re talking about. Of course, you didn’t address the fact that you tried to put words in my mouth.

Why is showing emotion in a highly competitive sport unnecessary?
You don’t find that behavior just a little bit…. strange?

In the video, yeah it's weird as hell.
But not all batflips are weird as hell.

Because I'm digging a hole right?
So do you think bat flips are bad or not?

I don’t like them at all. They aren’t bad in themselves, but I don’t want that stuff in the game. Like I said in the OP, though, once things like that become acceptable, kids just keep taking things further. Thus, you get the behavior in the video.

A bat flip on a no doubt, game changing home run, especially in a big playoff game, is great. But I will say the pendulum has perhaps swung a bit too much the other way which I am guessing is OPs point

No surprise why the Bananas have had the success they are having. Games are fun and over in 2 hours or less.

And again, I ask, why is it wrong to show emotion in a highly-competitive game?
Pimping a walk is one thing because... congrats... you made it to first base, a bat flip off a home run is a completely different thing.
Making it out to be a gateway drug is weird.

That’s not emotion, that’s showing another player up. And again do it if you want to, it’s on the pitchers to stop it. If it doesn’t bother the pitcher, he’s a cuck.

A bat flip is 100% emotion.
Hitting a baseball is one of the hardest things to do in sports, let alone hitting a homer, you earned the right to flip a bat and celebrate.

Not, it’s not 100% emotion. Some are spontaneous, some are premeditated and even practiced so stop the cap.

That’s right, bail on a phony excuse because your argument is bad.

Gateway drug is a strange equivalency to draw, but ok. Do you disagree that the shenanigans just naturally build on themselves, especially with kids?

I have zero problems with a bat flip after a home run. Reggie Jackson was doing it 50 years ago. In fact, go back and watch the highlights of the 1959 World Series and you will see Ted Kluszewski of the White Sox flip his bat after a long home run nearly 70 years ago.
The thing is, if you flip the bat after a home run, it’s because you’ve actually accomplished something.
The dude in this video was just being a horse’s arse for no good reason.

He was obviously over the top, especially considering the score. But the commentary was also over the top.

Lower and move the mound back 5 feet. League averages are now in the .230 range. Eventually it will be sub .200. This will kill the sport. Your average person has much more interest in hitting than pitching. No one wants .230 average.

“Batting average is insignificant” - board geeks who never played and worship analytics because the TV told them to.
