Baseball and it's perceived "unwritten rules" go full "idiot mode" once again

Red Sox reliever Chris Martin started a benches-clearing kerfuffle against the Brewers by mouthing off at their 1st base coach at the end of an inning.
Huh?? Who made you the fricking God of how the game should be played? GTFO with that bullshite.

"I probably said some things under my breath," he said. "That was kind of directed at that inning. I'll let you all determine what those things were. Heat of the moment. They bunted twice. You see there they bunted there at the end of the game. I didn't like it. I know it's part of the game. ... I let 'em know. In this league, swing the bat."

So they were only up one run and he’s upset the other team was bunting? That’s some bitch shite. But it’s Boston so…

Even if you think it you shouldn’t say it because you just look like a bitch

I don’t think it’s baseballs unwritten rules, it’s just Chris Martin being a ho

The game was actually tied 1-1 which makes his claim even dumber

I don’t think this has anything to do with the “unwritten rules” of baseball. It has to do with this pitcher being an arse. Bunting in a lopsided game maybe, or even bunting to break up a no-hitter although you would expect a defense to be aware of that. But a 2-1 game? Ain’t no “unwritten rule” I know of about that.

Maybe this fool just has trouble defending against bunts. Perhaps the Brewers were aware of that?
Although there was a famous incident in 1965 when Lou Brock, who played the game aggressively, bunted a couple of times for hits against Sandy Koufax, who may have had the left arm of God but was a mediocre defensive player especially against bunts.
Koufax was tired of being embarrassed, but he didn’t mouth off, he hit Brock in the shoulder … it was a myth that Koufax wouldn’t brush people back or hit them … so hard that, according to Jeff Torborg who was the catcher, “the ball spun around in the meat and dropped out.”
Message delivered, old school.

Sometimes things go unwritten because they are made up.
Now, I can show you Papelbon going after Bryce Harper for disrespecting the real rules.

Pitchers don’t like bunts. That’s nothing new.

Just based on that quote and not seeing it, I’d chalk that up to frustration in the heat of the moment. He knows bunting is a part of the game as he himself said after the game.

Baseball is infested with meathead douchebags.
Fake tough guy pitchers who never even have to stand in the box are the worst.
