Sadly.

And as proof that it isn't outlandish they'll point to Chuck's list. A list that has Oscar number 2, and he said his top 5 would never change no matter what

Yes, Charles Barkley.

And since he's played before, ya know, it must really be true!!!

to be fair, you used the fact that Love's TEAMS hadn't made the playoffs to downplay the guy. So you've used that argument to an extent

It was also said that Love put up empty stats. That goes back to at least 2013.

Eh. Fair point, but I do think there's a huge difference between a really good player and a title vs a really good player and making the playoffs.

I'd also say Love's play in CLE has kinda proven me right on that as well. Remember, i didn't say the same about Bosh, and he figured it out and was super efficient in Miami.

Barkley also said in the interview that LeBron has by far had the greatest career ever, but he cant get in the top 5 because his top 5 will never change

That interview was a meandering labyrinth of contradictory nonsense.

As good as Lebron is, his legacy is hurt by the era in which he plays. Much like current NFL QBs and wide receivers, the lack of physical defenses and an emphasis on defense does not give us an opportunity to see how he stacks up over the course of a physical season and playoff run. This is why it really is difficukt to rank players across eras.

I love how people think it's some gigantic slight to Lebron to say he's not a top five player. We're talking top five ever to play basketball, and somehow if Lebron (who isn't even finished with his career) isn't put on that list it's some huge slight to him.

shite is ridiculous, man.

It isnt a slight I guess, it just shows that person doesnt know basketball or is mildly special.

Charles is the latter
