I mean it's not ridiculous, I can even see a slight argument for Duncan ahead of him. But if you're going to bother making an all time list, there's virtual no reasonable criteria to rank Oscar and Kobe ahead of him. That's just straight personal bias

I don't really see how you put Duncan over him either honestly. The Spurs are one of the best organizations in sports headed by the one of the greatest coaches of all time. I appreciate his game, but I don't think he's such a lock as the greatest PF ever simply because he has five championships. Personally I thought Garnett was a better, more versatile player but played under worse circumstances for much of his career.

I love how people think it's some gigantic slight to Lebron to say he's not a top five player. We're talking top five ever to play basketball, and somehow if Lebron (who isn't even finished with his career) isn't put on that list it's some huge slight to him. shite is ridiculous, man.
Would you say the same if someone ranked MJ 4th or 5th behind some of the same guys?

Honest question.

In some instances yes.

The Earth is round

If you dont agree something is wrong with you

If your top 5 is set in stone no matter what happens, something is also special about you.

Those are stone cold facts my friend

Simmons and his big book of Basketball HOF pyramid had:

20. LeBron James

15. Kobe Bryant

14. Elgin Baylor

13. John Havlicek

The Pantheon

12. Moses Malone

11. Shaquille O’Neal

10. Hakeem Olajuwon

9. Oscar Robertson

8. Jerry West

7. Tim Duncan

6. Wilt Chamberlain

5. Larry Bird

4. Magic Johnson

3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

2. Bill Russell

1. Michael Jordan

But this was 5 years ago.

(And then he moved Kobe to #8 a couple of years later)

(I wonder if he'd still have Kobe ahead of LeBron now 3 years later)

Simmons now has LeBron at number 2, and he said he thinks he may soon be the GOAT....

Im guessing you are about to turn on Simmons..........

Well yes the earth being round is a fact. Someone's opinion, surprisingly, is simply an opinion.

Yeah when they are ridiculous but this isn't one of those cases. This is from someone that has Lebron top 5.

To say someone has had the best career ever, then also have them at number 8 is contradictory retardedness.

To have a top 5 and then say no matter what happens, no matter what, your top 5 wont change is also retardedness.

Im sorry but there is no other way to look at that

If his opinion is that nobody can crack his current top 5, no matter what happens, that is a ridiculous opinion.

We know what Lebron is at this stage. To not plan on moving him is stubborn but understandable.

I would disagree but their criteria would need to be explained before I could say if it was a ridiculous claim.

Have you seen the reason Barkley excludes him from his top 5?

Ridiculous would be a nice way to put it it's so absurd.
