In the wtf dept, the best in the business and a 35 yr guy was promptly told to frick off. Gumps gonna gump

quote:

Gold told AL.com that he does not plan to retire. "Well, the university has chosen not to bring me back," Gold said. "This is not, with a capital N-O-T, not at all health-related. I am very healthy. Everything is wonderful. I am healthy as a horse."

Remaking Bama in a PAC-12 form. Should work out well.

Your post screams you haven't heard Gold call a game in the past three years.

On the 4th and 31 TD pass all he kept saying over and over was "Caught by Isaiah Bond!"

Caught fricking where, Eli?

You might be right about his skills at this point, but let’s be honest here.

You don’t let Eli Gold leave screaming from the mountain top that he was fired

There has to be a better way.

Bama has so much karma coming that people will wish it was another tornado instead. LOL

This kind of thinking is how you end up with a dementia patient in the White House.

You don’t get to keep a job just because you’re old.

Nobody said he had to keep his job

But you don’t end on bad terms

shite, he could have filled some role to at least get recognized with a retirement lap around his last SEC season

And remember, I don’t really give a shite

frick Bama. LOL

Jim Hawthorne held on at least 5 years too long but luckily retired before being forced out.

I’m sure it was handled as well as possible. Sometimes the old goats don’t know when to hang it up.

Yeah, not even worth a farewell tour in a lesser role?

Auburn should hire him as a PR move

A very shrill, obnoxious voice. Good.

Y’all haven’t heard him call games lately. Really subpar.

And for those saying Bama should have offered a “lesser role” for a farewell tour… Lol. No way he was ever going to take said lesser role.

Alabama is probably going to beat your favorite team next season. Enjoy.

Healthy as a horse.

Hope I can remember that line when I'm good age.
