In case you haven't been watching, Baker Mayfield the last 4 weeks has been lighting up the NFL. This kid is special. He is going to be real good. The last 4 games, his stats have been amazing. Outside of the 1st half against @Houston (nothing to be ashamed of against them) Baker has been nearly flawless. Lets take a look...

Last 4 games without the 1st half against Houston:

77-97 (79%), 1056 yards, 9 TD, 0 INT = QBR of 144.5 (The league leader is Brees at 123.2)

Even with the 1st half against Houston:

83-111 (75%), 1,109 yards, 9 TD, 3 INT = QBR of 121.8 (Right behind Brees for 2nd)

Its simply amazing what this kid has done. Came in to an 0-16 franchise in disarray. He endured possibly one of the worst Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator feuds in recent memory. He has been playing with 4 other Rookies on offense. Rookie RB, 2 Rookie WRs, an undrafted free agent Rookie at LT.....and yet this kid has just balled all year. Regardless of what you think about him personally, there isn't any doubt the Browns drafted the right player. There isn't any doubt who the best QB in this class is.

Mayfield is really good, but you gotta give a huge amount of credit to John Dorsey. He’s put a lot of talent into that roster in the right places

I remember when Carson Wentz was crowned king of the class of 16 and Jared Goff was the next JaMarcus Russell.

How shitty was he in the half against Houston that you had to remove it in your stat dump

He has had a good season but we have seen over and over some great rookie campaigns that don’t translate to the legendary career you might predict. Gonna have to wait and see.

Yea, they could easily be 8-5 or 7-6 too if they had better luck. I think everyone is rooting for them. Feel good story

At first I didn't like the guy. I thought his theatrics were gonna make him Manziel 2.0 but he grew on me after watching him play and learning how competitive he is. Dude didn't care about not starting from day 1 and fully believed he could take a very bad team to new heights despite what the rest of the world thought. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and doesn't let mistakes get the best of him. I'm fully in the Baker Mayfield camp now. It'll be fun watching him develop over the next few years.

You must not be able to read, because i absolutely included the 1st half against Houston. Look again.

Again, tell me which one of those QBs was doing it with an 0-16 franchise? Which one was doing it with 4 other rookie starters? Baker is having one of the best rookie season i can ever remember. They are only going to get better.

I just gotta ask. As an OSU fan do you or any other Buckeye fans you know still think about him planting the OU flag in the Horseshoe?

Nah...Ultimately its what makes Baker Mayfield who he is. The Cleveland Browns franchise needed somebody like Baker. Somebody who had that kind of flag planting mentality. I for one welcomed it.

Cool. I'm sure it didnt feel great when it happened but to me that's what I like about sports. You're not supposed to feel good after you get your arse kicked and it kind of bothered me that it was used as a character issue for some.

I'll never forget him trying...and failing.

I don't like the way he is. I think he's the guy who is fine when the going is good (or in this case when he is starting to become a "savior" for the franchise), but will crumble when they have a couple of bad years or stuff goes wrong.

I can certainly eat crow on that, but something about him seems like that type of character

I agree, but if you watch Cleveland, this feels different. Bake is fearless and can make all the throws. He looks like a seasoned NFL vet.

Probably his first true stinker in a year and a half. But the Rams are fighting for a first round bye and Wentz and the Eagles are in danger of missing the playoffs.

What makes you think this?

The guy came into an 0-16 team and never had a doubt in his mind about whether or not he could turn it around. That is his personality and I don't think it will ever change, even when things start to go wrong.
