Am I the only one who thinks this move will finally show the world that the Big 10 isn’t much better(or won’t be after this move) than the Pac 12?

I see this elevating USC and OSU and finally bringing irrelevancy to Penn State and Mich State

Them and Wisconsin might take turns being an ok team but that conference is pure shite, no different than the Pac 12 with a good USC and then other schools like Oregon or Stanford standing up sometimes

I wouldn’t be ok with 2 supper conferences if half the playoff teams came from the Big 10 when the SEC would probably have 70% of the top whatever teams

Missouri will be an interesting one to keep an eye on. I wouldn't be shocked if there wasn't some mutual interest between them and the B1G.

I know I speak for our fanbase here, I don’t think there is any desire to leave the SEC for the B1G. That ship sailed about 12 years ago when they passed over us. Plus, from a more rationale perspective, why would Mizzou leave the strongest conference for the second strongest conference? Finally, the Big Ten clearly has focused in on a pacific coast division and I bet they are taking a hard run at ND. Mizzou is an afterthought to them, they’d probably take us at this point but I doubt they’re knocking down our door.

Who knows where this is going at this point? What if the B1G and SEC decide they want to go to 24? B1G adds USC, UCLA, Washington, Oregon, Stanford, Arizona St, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Duke and Virginia? Then creates 4 divisions of 6 schools?

B1G NORTH:

Ohio State
Michigan
Michigan State
Indiana
Purdue
Notre Dame

B1G CENTRAL:

Wisconsin
Minnesota
Illinois
Iowa
Nebraska
Northwestern

B1G EAST:

Penn State
Maryland
North Carolina
Duke
Virginia
Rutgers

B1G WEST:

USC
UCLA
Washington
Stanford
Oregon
Arizona State

This would be the ideal situation for the B1G master plan in my opinion.

At this point, college sports should consider promotion and relegation like they do in European soccer.

Miami, Wake, GT, and Baylor have a less than zero percent chance of receiving SEC invites. If anyone wanted Baylor, they could have invited them at any point since Texas and OU announced that they were heading to the SEC. A small, private school in Waco does not add enough financial value to the SEC or B1G. Even more true for Wake. The SEC doesn’t need another GA school, and GT isn’t a big enough brand to change that. Miami has some history on its side, but why take them over FSU? Miami doesn’t even have a stadium and it’s fanbase is minuscule.

For god sakes, stop putting LSU in a quasi big 12, SWC, big 8 grouping. We are a founding member of the SEC and will be grouped with other founding members, not the new guys on the block.

You think this rat race has anything to do about dick measuring about who is the best team?????

This is about the Big 10 and SEC seeing how much money they can convince Fox and ESPN to throw at them and the individual teams to see how much they can get in NIL for the whores that they will turn 18-19 year old kids into and the cuts they will get on the backside from the Gordon McKernans of the world.

This expansion thing will not go the way that many who cheer this think it will go. What makes college football now any better than the NFL?
