Well, that could be the case. Obviously the deal has to be right. I'm just saying I hope we can land one of those three guys and move Grissom to the outfield. I don't want to trade him, but I also don't know that he's ideal to stay at short.

He’s also clearly very smart, but I’m not sure if he is a “I’m set for life even if I take a hometown discount because I will manage it well” type of guy, or a “I’m going to milk every single penny I can out of this sport while I can” person. I don’t think he’s going to let emotions get in the way.

This was less surprising than not getting another corner outfield bat, IMO. It sounds like Boston was asking way too much for JD Martinez considering he's a rental, but I was thinking AA would go find someone in that mold. We definitely need it with Ozuna and Acuna not hitting at all.
