Helluva night for Grissom. I'd take 2/4 and a stolen base for my MLB debut for sure.

He's going to average 15-20 stolen bases a year if he gets on consistently. Underrated speed for 6'3.

Where does he naturally hit in the lineup?

...and that stolen base leads to an insurance run to boot. Nice.

He was hitting 2 and 3 for Mississippi.

Grissom's debut is about as good as it gets.
The team needed a spark to kickstart some energy.
He may be the guy.
Yates debut was also impressive.

Agreed. I'm looking forward to watching him pitch.

A sweep in Fenway is always sweet.
Impressive team performance tonight.

Genuinely cool to see someone just appreciate the moment like Vaughn was doing in that interview.

Very child-like which is refreshing.

I got chills watching his family on the field with him after. Feel good moment of the year so far.

What a special night for him, especially being in Fenway. That was awesome.

That was pretty awesome to see their dreams come to fruition. The kid had a helluva first day on the job.

Marlins next up! Then the rematch.

Will we be able to get something for Shewmake at some point? With Grissom now being ahead of him seems to me he is path to Atlanta is blocked. Just wondering if he will ever have much trade value

shewmake was never viewed as anything more than a super utility guy. Best we’re getting for him is an inning eating middle reliever or lottery ticket pitching prospect

Will I? Is that my MO? What a weird fricking post, weirdo.

Anyway, I was talking about the whole package—how he plays, how he smiles and gives an interview (unfortunately, Ronnie not speaking English hurts him here), he’s a good-looking kid with a good energy that translates on tv—he’s gonna be star if he sticks.

I think that they will sit on him as insurance for now. Hopefully Griss sticks and that will certainly make things interesting because the middle suddenly has depth once Oz returns and if Dansby is re-signed.

There are some young SS talent on the farm but they are prob 2-3 years away. Shew prob gets dealt next year if Benetiz and Tavarez get it going and Dansby is re-signed. I don't think there is much value for Shew alone unless he is packaged with another piece(s).

I wonder if AA will kick the tires on Simba since he was released from the Cubs. It would be cool to bring him back home and could provide depth for the next month.
