Christian Pache hit a go ahead homer in top of the 9th.

We are rolling right along. Only get 2 hits tonight and still win.
Somewhat ironic category.....Phillies win tonight on a 2 run 2 out 9th inning pinch HR by Christian Pache

If we our next three games, it will only be the third time since the turn of the century that a team got to at least 62 wins in 90 games.
Only point of caution is that the last team to do it was the 2022 Yankees, who kind of bottomed out in the second half of the season and ended up not even reaching 100 wins.

What about the other two?
The other one is the 2001 Mariners. We would be the third.

Apparently this was the “good Charlie” I always hear about.
When he's controlling his fastball and breaking ball he's still borderline #1 material. It's when he starts off the game hitting batters in the foot with his breaking ball (or almost hitting them) that you know he's gonna have a tough time going more than 5 innings.
Hopefully he can build on these last two starts and stay in a groove.

At age 39, Charlie Morton very quietly put together a solid first half for the #Braves. He went 9-6 with a 3.43 ERA in 17 starts, compiling 111 K in 97 IP – good for 10.3 K/9. Morton finished with 6.1 innings of 1-run ball to beat the Rays in his final start before the break.

Phillies have gone 23-7 in their last 30 games and have lost 3 games in the standings. That has to be demoralizing.

Mets are starting to heat up too.

Can we vote to skip the all star break and just keep playing?

They are gonna win just enough games that they will hold onto everyone thinking that they're in it when in reality they aren't.
They are toast. Now the Phillies OTOH .

The team could afford to rest a few days.
