Drop off in Charlie’s stuff has him needing to be the crafty veteran but he doesn’t have the command to do it consistently. He has always worked off his good 4 seam making his curve devastating. The 4 seam isn’t a plus pitch anymore unfortunately.

Yep, he relies too much on getting the chase with the curve and change out of the zone but it just doesn't happen enough because everyone is just sitting fastball on him, which is why the hard contact rate has escalated on him the last two years.
