Took the over at 5K's tonight for Spencer..it's up to 5 1/2 now.
Little risky considering his comeback but still think it's easy money vs the Nats.
ETA Does anyone know what kind of count he's on tonight?I'm assuming 100 but couldn't find info.

The extension here was always a big mistake.
A guy who already had TJS and is reliant on extreme velocity. Made no sense not to go year to year.

Strider was the favorite to win the Cy Young at the start of last season. It might not work out, but was worth the risk.

He's making 20 mil next year and 22 mil in 27 and 28, with another 22 mil option in 29 with a 5 mil buyout.
It was a stupid extension because it literally didn't even really get us extra years from him, we took all the risk and overpay for almost no rewards. You typically offer the early extensions to get cheap extra years like with the Harris extension. We got none of that with the Strider extension.

One TJ surgery isn't a big deal, it's the second like Strider has had that's a bigger issue typically. See Walker Buehler among others for example. Eovaldi is an example we can hope Spencer mimics.

I’m glad we won’t have to worry about post season anger this year.
AA + Liberty watched as our lifelong franchise player got gaslit by his agent, signed a deal of a lifetime and then fired his agent and is currently having an absolute HOF career last few seasons in LA.
AA+ Liberty currently watching Max Fried having a career and Cy Young year after not paying him.
AA+ Liberty bibberty bringing back every cheap fricking recycled used up player that accidentally captured the magic..

Glad to see Drake on the bench. He’s only been the best player on the team the entire pathetic season.
