with a high pitch count in a condensed period of only 5 innings, I would be very surprised to see him come back out. If he feels good, I'd let him at least face another hitter, but I don't expect it to happen.
Oh, he’s done.
And this may sound strange, but that was one of the most impressive outings of his career. To push through that without his normal command and limit the damage to only 4 runs scored on a double header day when we need innings, gutsy, gutsy stuff.

No doubt, he had a really nice comeback those last two innings. Impressive work.

My pocketbook would really enjoy it if Strider can accumulate > 8.5 K and pick up the win.
So close.

Yeah, he was frustrating to watch early, but he didn't let it balloon, and gave us a couple more very important innings.
I'm stuck with the Mets broadcast, and they were cackling early. Such an unprofessional crew.

And here's why we need our starters to go as deep as possible...

Let’s go Riley. It’s time.
Eta: Damn it.
He did try to go with the pitch at least just got under it.

He is pretty much useless right now and needs to be batting about 6th or 7th in the order

Need an Interstellar Murph gif

Riley hitting in front of Murphy is looking kind of silly, at this point. Dude is hitting everything hard, and he's been far more clutch.
Posted on 5/1/23 at 2:21 pm to Metaloctopus
Twice Murphy has bailed out Riley by having an unproductive AB with Acuna and Olson on with no out.

My sentiments exactly. But AA/Snitker refuse to change the top of the batting order

There is no one I trust out of our pen right now.

The bullpen can't stand prosperity, lately.
