Big ups to Drew Smyly today.
The strike zone being so low really helped him a bunch. I’m not trying to take anything away from him, but had some of those been called balls he would have started hanging them.

Early morning reminder. Since everyone is making excuses ( talking heads and MLB network) for the Dodgers injuries, etc. Braves have no Mike Soroka, Ronald Acuna, Ozuna, and traded a human mascot(love this line because it’s true LOL) for Eddie Rosario. Where ere the excuses for them. There are none because all they do is lace them up and play ball! Go Braves end this tonight!!
Yeah, all of that, and our starter gets scratched before first pitch. But, poor Dodgers. Jorge Soler has been out all series, and other guys have stepped up... But, poor Dodgers. If only they had depth. Wait, they do? Well, poor Dodgers, anyway. They've been thoroughly outplayed in this series. Even when the Braves had to come from behind on Sunday, the Dodgers got almost all of their runs off of walks, HBP's and bloops. They could barely hit the actual baseball in that game.
They just can't admit any of that. That's ok. Let's finish this today, and then they can enjoy their pity parade while we play for a championship.

Mlb network radio this morning is almost unbearable with the way they’re still sucking the dodgers off.

My wife explained it to me yesterday and then I immediately saw a tweet where the Braves were 2-0 (prior to the game yesterday) on bone days so immediately bought into that advanced metric

It's hilarious how they said our lineup consisted of Freeman, Albies and Pederson. Completely omitting top 5 MVP candidate Austin Riley, 27 homer, 88 RBI Dansby Swanson, Former All-Star Eddie Rosario who is healthy and playing like the best version of himself again, and, oh yeah, the National League RBI champion in Adam Duvall.
To just look at the Braves as an 88 win team is so lazy. It's a completely different team from the first half, and if they had paid attention to the way the Braves dispatched of the Brewers, they'd have known this is a team much better than it's record. Not unlike that Yankees team that won 87 games back in 2000 and won it all. They had all the pieces of a championship team, and had already won championships with that core, but had some issues in the regular season, before turning it on and ripping right through the post season. Did anybody think that team sucked?
Lazy, pathetic writers.

The MLB Twitter account thankfully remembered the Braves existed and tweeted about us….
The reference was of course about our 21 year absence from the World Series :(

Amazing LA sports writers still have time to crow so much on Twitter with the 14 inch dodger cocks they have in their throats
Plaschke is used to having a cock in his throat so it doesn't distract him.

Honestly, Brian Anderson is an awesome play by play guy, and it’s a shame he’s weighed down by the color commentator.
Ron Darling is devastated at the moment.
Yeah, this is a true statement. I can't be too upset w/Anderson.
But seriously, Frenchy needs to kick Darling's arse w/a real tomahawk.
