I remember watching that... robbed Mike Lamb. One of the best catches I was watching live. Endy Chavez and DeWayne Wise are up there as well.
DeWayne Wise is another good candidate for this thread.

I think it was Fangraphs that had an entire article written about this play. I want to say it was Dave Cameron who used this as an example to blast people for using career highlights as Mathews Jr. was statistically one of the worst defensive centerfielders during his time up at the show.
