Is Daniel Murphy for the Mets remembered for anything other than the error to lose game 4 vs Royals?

Billy Cannon?

Not to diminish an amazing career as a Tiger, but his Halloween run against Ole Miss is so historic I'd argue it overshadows the rest of his career.

wtf?

Butler is a very solid player. Tyree is the first person that came to mind, Gleason is also a great answer.

But you can argue the tax thing or money laundering thing made Cannon famous also, just not the run.

Why are people using Lett? There was the Thanksgiving play vs Miami that was even worse than the Super Bowl play.

The Thanksgiving play cost them the game.

He's definitely not the typical answer to the OPs question. He won a Heisman, an Collegiate championship, lead the AFL in rushing one year, won 2 AFL championships, and then all the legal issues.

Still think he fits. You mention Billy Cannon to any college football fan and most of them will instantly think of the Halloween run.

I know that he had a long, great career, but this is Carlton Fisk.

For some, the Bavaro vs 49'ers run after catch

I know he was all Pro and should be in the Hall of Fame, but that may have been the singles best RAC I have seen in NFL.

Canseco is not known for 1 memorable play either though, that is just his worst one.

The homer vs Blue Jays in the 89 ALCS is still talked about as GOD Status by some.

I'd argue that the average college football fan today doesn't know who he is.
