At Least 30 LSU Football Players Quarantined Due to COVID-19 Outbreak

In an interview Saturday, Mullenix declined to confirm the numbers of those who have or had been quarantined, but said LSU’s situation was on par with a nationwide uptick in the virus related to the Memorial Day holiday and the widespread mass gatherings from protests. “It’s not surprising we’re seeing the rise right now,” she told SI. “It’s a pandemic. We should not be shocked. The story is that it’s exactly what we said it would be. We were prepared from the get-go for a lot of virus. The good news is we’re seeing subtle virus illness.”

If we can't get hospitalizations instead of infections in healthy athletes changed as the accepted measure of risk, there won't be.

Brody reported there was a large number of players that got it from the tiger land outbreak
The actual positive tests were in the teens, the rest were quarantined as precaution bc they were in contact with the positive

This blows. Clemson, UT, and now us. There’s probably going to be more programs coming forward soon with COVID19 infections. It’s going to be a shite show.

It’s says either 30 players tested positive OR were in contact with infected players.
This isn’t some big deal everyone is just being extra cautious so we can have a season.

Players and coaches will be testing positive at the same clip next year and the year after
The virus isn’t fricking going anywhere.
We know definitively the virus only seriously effects those 70+ years of age and those with serious underlying health issues. Our football team doesn’t fall in either category.

If we're basing reopening everything on whether the virus is still out there then we'll never reopen.
It will always be out there, and there will always be infected people.
The initial shutdown was due to hospital capacity concerns. If the narrative strays away from that (which I feel it is starting to) then we're doomed.

Should intentionally expose and quarantine team for immunity. None of them will get sick. 20 year old kids in top 1% of physical fitness
