The playoffs in the West are extremely hard to predict right now. The Spurs, Thunder, and Clippers are all locks IMO, but the rest of it is a crap shoot.

Pelicans played 70% of their games without these players.
while true, the whole team minus AD is a collection of retread cast offs who would still be on their previous teams if not for a big flaw or 2. yes, they are talented on paper, but in the stacked west, they are unlikely enough to make it to the second season.

Source confirms the Rockets will receive the first round pick from Pelicans next year if between 4-19.

Who in the west is even a candidate to tank next year? Maybe the Kings I guess. Everybody else is in win now mode.

The Kings have been very active so far. They aren't looking to tank.

Honestly the Lakers or Minnesota feel like the worst teams in the conference right now, but who knows what they end up doing by the time we reach the season.

eta: Apparently this was moved to the Pels board and it scared me for a second

I agree with this. But we've known this for some time now. Demps has always favored players who is considered under-appreciated in the league. Our roster is made of those types.

Why would this be moved to the pels board? There's already a thread on it.. and it is just as much about houston as it is new orleans

While not yet title contenders, they are better than this silliness.

Maybe if the thread was titled differently, it would have stayed on the other board.

No, the Grizzlies didn't play 70% of their games without 2 of their 4 best players and a starter at a weak spot on the team
a team whos top 4 include jrue holiday and ryan andersen is not making the playoffs in the western conference in 2015.

This got moved?

Funny. I started reading it on the MSB and kept going from page to page and then got up and did something and I get to this page and it his moved to the Pelicans board.

it is like I am in some kind of a time warp or something starting a thread on one board and ending it on another. I started to say it was a unique experience, but then I realized that I am reading about Asik at 10:37 at night and it really isn't that interesting after all.

I'm not ranking players on the squad, but what appears to be the current roster (and it's still in flux)could easily challenge for 6-8 if healthy.
