Sorry you LA and Texas folks don't have a gov with any balls, Arkansas schools opening by Aug. 26 and sports are playing as usual.

We have one swampy gov, but he's no fool and can see through the political charade that is Wu flu hoax.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Arkansas Activities Association released an update on COVID-19 and playing sports in the Fall. You can read the update below.

The Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) is preparing to resume activities and athletics this fall in accordance with the regular AAA calendar.
These preparations are contingent upon compliance with all directives as issued by the Governor’s office and the Department of Health.
In collaboration with the NFHS, AAA Sports Medicine Advisory Committee, Coach’s and Official’s Advisory Committees, and other affiliated activity committees, plans are being formulated to comply with all directives and safely return to participation.
All states contiguous to Arkansas have indicated they are making similar plans to begin as scheduled this Fall. Plans are also being discussed at all levels in regard to adjustments to the calendar if necessary.

They will fall in line like everyone else

They have no choice. The legal liability is too great at this time.

Time for some of you to accept that the most likely season is nfl, and even that is in question at this time.

Sorry.

I definitely read this as “Wu Hoax Klan” initially and now I’m going to collectively refer to every citizen and media personality who has drunk the coronavirus koolaid as a member of the Wu Hoax Klan.

As you were.

Yeah for H.S. kids? This is insanely stupid to do.

Pro Sports, fine, go at it. You're adults, do what you want to do.

But to tell kids to play H.S. sports, something that is just basically exercise in the grand scheme of things.

It would be funny if H.S. sports are played and the fricking NFL union is against playing. Could you imagine the outbreak in H.S. wrestling and then the Governor freaking out and going oh, shite...and parents lining up around the block to sign with You're fricked, Attorney's at Law.

Yea I appreciate the gesture from the aaa but liability risk isn’t gonna make it worth it. All it takes is the wrong kid to come down with China asshoe disease and the aaa will be sued to shite.

This is where you're wrong. A kid isn't forced to play. If they or the parents are scared then don't play, but for those who want to game on baby! Here in Mississippi our MHSAA meets Tuesday. I'm figuring football will get pushed back to a Labor Day weekend start instead of August 21. At least that's the rumor. Most all school districts in my quad-County area are going back the first week of August. Most have alternate plans for parents who don't feel safe sending their kids back and that's fine for the Karens if they choose so, but don't punish the kids, teachers, and coaches who want to go back like I do.

Do you know of anyone or any business that has been sued by someone who thinks they got the virus from said person or place? I'd think that would be one tough case to prove when we are being told it's such a highly contagious disease.

good but it doesnt matter, you need other teams to play against and it appears there arent going to be enough other teams to have a season, not even an abbreviated one

My understanding is that suing municipalities in Arkansas or the state of Arkansas itself is not generally a highly profitable endeavor. And that's just under normal circumstances. I would think the governor or legislature could provide immunity specifically for these types of situations.
