I would say pretender as of now. Their signature win was on the road against the Packers, but the Packers are way too inconsistent to be considered one of the best teams in the NFC (and I say that as a Packers fan). Their wins against Detroit and Washington to start the year were good, but they have played flat out ugly in their 3 losses. Hell even some of the games they didn’t lose like against Dallas and Arizona were lackluster. So I don’t know if that win was super impressive. But Carolina has some tough games down the stretch, so I guess that’ll tell us for sure

Sure but their pass defense was literally best in the nfl and he clapped their cheeks every which way with a rookie wr and a second year wr.

They find new ways for maximum humiliation. Letting Bryce have 4 games worth of production was next on the script.

Neither but both them and the jags seem to be a bit ahead of schedule.

They’re 5-1 in one score games with like a -30 point differential and they played the easy part of their schedule first.

They’re going to finish 8-9 and think they’re close and go all in this off season and then go 5-12 next year when they aren’t winning every close game

Definitely pretender. Just trying to figure out why the OP pluralized top-tier teams. The only one is Green Bay and they're arguable themselves.

The Eagles are 7-1 in one score games with a 33 point differential.

And still have 4 more wins than the Aints too. Y’all are legit the worst team in the NFC

Then you have no excuse for getting absolutely dominated in that game. Our makeshift OL and rookie QB absolutely bullied yall. The Panthers are the most irrelevant franchise in the NFC.

The Panthers are the only team in the league with a winning record with a negative point differential and it's actually -42. It's mostly because the two best teams they played beat the shite out of them. Now they have left nothing but teams with winning records and a 2-8 team that handled them in Carolina.

I don’t care what they do

For comparison I merely brought up another mediocre team with a record (for now) that is inconsistent with their actual quality

You're right. One of two and the Panthers 5 times worse than the other.

Any stat involving the falcons needs a caveat that the defense has not been good since divine deablo was injured. The Panthers are a fine team overall it just depends on what Bryce Young is going to do. He's been pretty arse other than when he plays the falcons

Statistical anomalies because they can’t stop the run.
Falcons are the first team in NFL history to get 18 sacks in three straight games, and lose all three games.

Could be but at least they are 6-5 and not 2-8
