They won a championship… it’s pretty clear that they won the trade.

Meh the Lakers like to build dynasties not a one off title that no one remembers

They thought AD would be the guy and that's clearly not the case

I mean, it was a great haul and getting the number 1 pick was just bonus.

Davis wanted out, not sure what else could have been done

This. It was the best possible scenario available to the Pels. OP was just trying to dunk on Pels fans and ended up looking like an idiot.

they did, if they drafted and used those picks wisely.

It was a better trade than
-letting AD walk for nothing
-some of the other garbage that some teams were offering

I’m not sure what you’re really suggesting other than the Pels keep AD just so the Lakers don’t have a chance to win a title

To be fair:

1. They have a bunch already

2. It's the "Bubble Ring*"

3. It's the one LeBron won, even Lakers fans are getting sick of him, he's easily the most unlikeable douche to grace the sport in recent memory who's trying very hard to change "in recent memory" into "ever"

Not all NBA rings are equal. The bubble ring isn’t a real ring either. I think the Heat were the 5th seed. Complete joke

How the frick was LA going to draft Zion? They got the 4th pick while New Orleans got the 1st.

I’m not sure we can fully assess the true impacts of the trade until around 2026 or so. I’m gonna try to remember to bump this thread after the Pels championship parade

I wonder if the Lake show may fleese the Pels again. Only thing is Zion is fat and can't play so it looks like he might just end up being a bust.

No one said or even thought this. Im not even a big basketball fan and i knew this was possibly the worst trade ever. Along the lines of Herschel Walker bad.

it makes me feel better knowing the lakers are done
they are 13-12, and aren't even close to one of the best teams.
but yeah that trade sucked

The Lakers were done af before the trade. They got a quick title out of it and y’all still suck dick.

Why on earth would any of this make you feel better?
