The only thing more boring than baseball is watching a documentary about baseball.

Why are they still trying to push this mediocre SS on us?

Just because he played for the no win no more Yankees?

Totally different type of documentary. The Jordan one was purposely filmed at the time to long later be a documentary. This Jeter thing is a fluff piece created at film editors table. Even NYC sports radio is hating on it.

Jeter is a compiler who was lucky enough the be the face of a dynasty in the largest possible market. As a point of reference, his career WAR per 162 was 4.2. Andrelton simmons is sitting at 4.9

The Baseball Writers of America, probably the most educated baseball followers out there, voted him into the HOF. I suggest they know about his over all abilities than any generic fan here. Leadership goes a long long ways in team sports, especially over an extended period of time. He's called The Captain for a good reason. As he put it, "I wanted to win. He, AR, wanted to be a star. "

Meh, He was an average SS who hit singles and never managed over 15 HR’s a season. He was surrounded by great lineups, his defense was average.

So, no.. I won’t be watching that overrated guy who got kicked out by the Marlins ownership.

I don’t typically watch documentaries about the most overrated athletes in history.
