Have not watch 5 minutes of NFL this year. No plans to change that.

Free Sundays is a good thing. What a time waster those crappy games were.

I know I'm getting downvoted by LSU homers. Give me examples of an LSU national championship being as meaningful as the Super Bowl.

I mean 03 and 07 meant a lot more to me since I am not saints fan.

the Texans could sucks forever but as long as LSU Is good it doesn't matter.

The only title that would come close for my personal fandom is a World Series

But as a casual viewer, college provides a bettter product. The talent and length of games is the only thing the NFL has going for them.

From 11-past midnight central on Saturday I can watch cfb with no limitations. Each conference has teams with different styles. Games have history.

Agreed. They should follow the formula CBS uses for their Saturday games.

Definitely. The safety rules have made pass defense a penalty, the new CBA has reduced practice times yielding increasingly sloppy play, the crowd sounds like they're watching golf, and all the teams run nearly identical offenses and defenses.

It's just not that interesting, and it's not good football.

There are still too many commercials. I'm not sure how pointing out that cbs also has too many commercials proves anything.

NFL unwatchable. I've tried all season. End up doing other stuff and it is somehow in background.
Ditto. Life has so much more to offer.

I have a friend whose employer has a suite at AT&T Stadium (Cowboys) and he's expected to fill those seats with clients and be there every game. He is sick of it because while we might think it's bad on TV, every time they break for a TV time out, penalty, review, etc..., he has to be entertaining all these clients. He said he'd rather be with his son sitting in a deer blind or walking his squirrel dogs through a stand of old growth oaks.

I'm a die hard NFL fan, have been all of my life.

But something is off this year and I can't put my finger on what it is.

Its just not as good this year as a whole.

It's been this way, there's nothing different this year. My main problem is there are like 5 good teams. Unless the Pats, Steelers, Packers, Seahawks, or Broncos are playing one another the only reason I have to watch is fantasy.

First time ever, I haven't watched any games this year. I think that it won't be long the game will be outdated. Call it what you want; political, boring, etc, I just quit watching. My decision was politically motivated thou

NFL lost it's luster with me. You probably can't see it. Right now I have no desire to watch it.

Same ole same ole. Has it lost its luster to anyone else?

somebody got old...

It still holds value for me. Fantasy football gives me an excuse to hang out with guys from back home once a year. The Saints falling off definitely takes the shine off of it, and I am not 30 anymore. I find myself drifting a little.

I also think we are now inundated with it. 20 different shows and a billion podcasts. Much better educated fans means fans who tune out shitty football. When a game sucks from a scoring and a coaching standpoint
