Anyone else happy to see college football commit suicide?

It had been a slow march to college football turning into the boring sterile N.F.L.

TV deals started it and after NIL it became a sprint. Now one of the last things that made college football great, the regular season, is meaningless too.

I’d say that I hate to see it but it’s what college football and the NCAA deserve.

Not keeping the sec champ out of a four team playoff isn't committing suicide

Doesn’t mean the product is good.

it'll stay popular but it's a shell of what it was for sure

12-team playoff will not help

This is probably the most unfair display by the powers that be in college football. Truly retarded times.

And has rarely ever had this many relevant teams from different geographic regions of the country. It wasn’t uncommon in previous seasons for three playoff teams to be from the southeast.

I welcome more athlete lawsuits and the eventual destruction of the NCAA

If it’s dead, let’s cancel the Heisman Trophy ceremony.

What are the odds we would be having this thread if Bama was playing the FSU role here?

Sure, I have zero fricks about an LSU guy winning at 9-3

Sadly, it isn't suicide. Next year we'll have 3 or 4 great matchups in the playoffs and people will say it was worth it. They won't care that a top 5 matchup in September or October is meaningless. They'll just be happy that they get a few good games to end the year.

Eventually, just like pro sports, a lot of people will only watch the playoffs.

Looks like Lunchbox wants to fight. Better clear the next 6 hours off of my calendar.

Very high. Like 100%.

They’d never leave out an undefeated Alabama team
