Considering he's the one they sent to bat for them during the entire TO debacle.

Racism. Its the only plausible reason for this.

i think the moody, insular, insecure mcnabb is just too much now. they really did think he was going to lead them to the title, and that doesn't look anywhere near likely. i'm happy for the front office to finally realize this

I think the front office realizes that he has been there for a decade, is a good QB but just hasn't gotten it done. And if you are going to break in a new starting QB you'd rather do it with a good team than a rebuilding team. If they let McNabb go a couple more years, the Eagles may turn into the latter.

I still contend that the problem with that team was McNabb, not Owens.

Heck, one could very easily argue that their offensive MVP up until last season was Westbrook, not McNabb.

ESPN didn't help either, only showing interviews with the front office puppets like mcnabb and douglas and ignoring all the support he had in the locker room.

the hugh douglas fight was fricking such bullshite

he was basically a spy for the front office and went into the training room ONLY to talk shite about TO and call him out for not being hurt. this is 1 year after TO did everything possible to play on a broken leg

Another thing is Mcnabb's trade value will only go down from here. He is already 34.

He is old and INJURY PRONE. I would use him as a teacher for my young QB.

Which is why a team like St. Louis would do well to draft a QB, run McNabb out there this season while letting the youngster watch for a year/play spot duty, and then throw the young guy out there in year 2, with McNabb as the veteran backup.

If McNabb's ego can take it.

Dumb question I'm sure, but is Bulger totally done? Dude is younger than McNabb

I like how StL also has AJ Feeey, another former Philly QB on their roster. Team will be made up of old, former Philly QBs

its not just that. what the eagles might be asking in terms of compensation also is a big factor. if they want a top 42 pick that would be a deal breaker. two qb's with your first two picks is insane. i'll take it a step further and say two qb's with your first 3 picks for a team that needs many positions is a no no.

Bradford is far from damaged goods and you will see that tommorow at his pro day.

The Rams have reportedly received "optimistic reports" about Sam Bradford's surgically repaired shoulder.
The surgery on the sprained AC joint in Bradford's throwing shoulder "wasn't nearly as serious" as the procedure Drew Brees underwent before signing with the Saints. All Bradford reports have been positive of late

Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo says he was impressed with Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford's "presence" during his interview at the Combine.
"There were a lot of bodies in there, in kind of a small room," Spags recalled. "It was a little intimidating, or it could've been for a 22-year-old guy. And yet, he walked in and...wasn't rattled at all. That's a good sign." Finally nearing 100 percent, Bradford may have to be similarly impressive at Monday's Pro Day to secure the top spot in the draft.

The Rams have begun preliminary contract negotiations with the player reps for QB Sam Bradford and DTs Ndamukong Suh and Gerald McCoy.
They've even touched base with QB Jimmy Clausen. "We're really just comparing notes," said executive VP of football operations Kevin Demoff, who added that he will begin "trading" numbers with agents in early April. If the ownership uncertainty doesn't preclude the Rams from selecting Bradford, they're still unlikely to get into hard numbers until after his March 29 pro day and April 12 team visit.

all signs point to Bradford not Clausen.
