LSU beat Georgia and Purdue beat tOSU. Your argument is invalid.

From a win-loss perspective, you are correct. But we aren't talking about wins and losses, we're talking about who the four best teams are. This is 2012 Notre Dame all over again. We're throwing them into the Playoff because they are undefeated. But not every undefeated team is worthy of admission. Whoever they play in the semi-finals will crush them. They don't have the talent to win a national championship.

They can beat anyone except Bama. They would have to play well, but they could beat Clemson.

They lost 24-22 in a night game at Clemson just two years ago. That was the year Clemson lost by 5 to Bama in the title game. So they have shown they can play with that program at its pinnacle.

And didn't they beat OU at night a few years back? OU's defense is just so horrific and ND's defense is pretty strong.

Although I can see ND beating OU but that's not saying much since OU doesn't know what defense is

They didn't even win their conference or division. Or is that magically not revelant this year?

OU couldn't skulldrag anyone that puts an 11-person offense on the field. They are absolutely pathetically horrendous on defense. Do you people watch the games?

I don’t like ND, I think they are overrated, and I think their schedule sucks, but they didn’t lose. They could beat Oklahoma because they have a far better defense and a far better defense than Oklahoma has seen all year...but they won’t beat Clemson. They could, but they won’t. And they are no match at all for Bama.

Oklahoma would score points on anyone in the country. We saw what they did against Georgia last season.

I agree with all of that except I don't think they are "overrated". That's a cliche that the masses always use on certain teams.

Who is underrated? OU? Ha. OSU? No. Michigan? Ha. Georgia? Probably should be 2/3.

ND is rated where they belong. In fact, their resume is better than Clemson's.

OU needed overtime to beat Army. Yes, overtime against Army.

OU lost a game to a mediocre Texas team

OU barely beat a bad Texas Tech team that just fired their coach.

OU gave up 56 points last week (and just about every week).

OU gave up 40 something to a terrible Kansas team that also fired their coach.

But yeah, you're probably right. ??

They are loaded at RB
Serviceable QB
Nice TE
Not stacked at WR but claypool and boykin will play on Sunday

I really think some of you no absolutely nothing about college football

Probably the same idiots who told me Syracuse would beat them and Michigan would beat Ohio State

I agree. Along with the Clemson game you mentioned, ND lost by just 1 point last year to a very good Georgia team. Notre Dame is a more complete team (offense, defense, special teams) than OSU and OU.

I was wondering when this board would move from “Notre Dame doesn’t deserve to be in the playoffs” to “It doesn’t matter if they are in the playoffs because they are trash and will get killed”. Hate on..... haters!

Do any of us honestly think Notre Dame could beat Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State or Oklahoma?

They could beat all of them but Alabama, and possibly even Alabama. Notre Dame has some serious athletes on that team that can make plays.

People want to look at Notre Dame and puck out their flaws, that's fine, except you then have to point out the flaws in every other team, because they all have them.

You must have not watched ND all year or last night's game as a supposed SC fan.
