I know Greg and hung out with him at the Pot of Gold tourney in NOLA. Having long hair doesn't make you a hippie. Greg is a metal-head, through and though. He's actually a pretty good drummer too.

I think that’s the only official rule in disc golf.

I don't think she cheated. Her facial expression looked more confused than anything else, and none of her cardmates were paying attention. Also, some fans yelled that it was safe, and I also heard that an official threw up the green flag.

The narrow mando markers and the lack of a mando spotter turned it into an issue. Mandos need to be marked with something of substance, not narrow poles and tape. At least at majors especially triple mandos need to have a spotter right on them like a field goal. Also players need to watch their cardmates throw AND be willing to speak up. I think the disc gods righted the wrong but it shouldn't come to that. That being said if Catrina got every foot fault called on her she would take strokes every tournament until she corrected it. Then again if there was slow-motion footage of every one of Paige's step putts she would get a lot of penalties too.

I keep thinking as the money increases we will start seeing more and more card mate calls.

Disc golf is so close to exploding in popularity.

And Baton Rouge just destroyed one of the very few courses it had. Makes sense.

Which one? Y’all go check out the TD home page. Larry put the shot up.

ETA: James' check for winning came out to $16,500. Hopefully MVP kicks in a BIG bonus for winning and putting their discs on the map. Fanbois be switching from Discraft already.

LINK Jomboy just posted about it. The sport has arrived. I love going to my local course. It’s shorter but in the woods so it’s still challenging. Can’t get anywhere near the pros’ level but it’s a great time.

In fairness, they are rebuilding Greenwood just like they did Highland. I hope it is at least as good as it was because it was a great beginner course that had cool lines for better discers. There were 9 or 10 solid ace runs even a novice had a shot at.

My favorite BREC course is Flanacher partly because me and my dogs usually have the run of the place on weekdays. It does hold water on a lot of holes though. Some people don't like it because it has some hard-to-score lines. I like the challenge of throwing crazy lines and being inventive and don't really care if a course kicks my arse unless it does it with just hole after hole that require 500ft drives to score. I even play 9 and 11 as they were originally designed.

You couldn't have drawn up a script better than the shot that Conrad made and the fan reaction. Hell, even McBeth's reaction was priceless. It was like "Your F'n kidding me".
That was some top notch play going on between the 2 of them.

And anyone who hasn't given Disc Golf a try, should. It's inexpensive, good exercise, and a blast.

Did not know that. Shame if it turns out to be the case, the DG course was slated to be in phase 1. I think they are getting close to redoing the tennis courts. I think they are only leaving two and turning the rest into pickleball courts. The pickleball courts at Highland seem well used.

Greenwood being closed has really sucked. Such a great solo after work or summer round course.

Flanacher had always been my favorite area course, but the upkeep on that course is total shite. Ive sent a couple emails to brec and pretty much got snarky emails back. Gnats rule the land at Flanacher.

I play the most at scottlandville because its closest to my house, but that course floods all the time and the garbage piles up after the floods. I do enjoy the lines and elevation change though.

I never play highland especially in the summer. Its too far away from me and has zero shade.

I play solomon pretty frequently, great course, although there arent many holes to air it out on.

I really enjoyed the 2 times i played the reconfigured bogue chitto course recently. Its great the way theyve used different parts of the park.

I haven't played since college twenty years ago, but this thread got me interested in going back out. Plus, I have been binge watching the JomezPro YouTube channel. Good stuff. These guys are insane.

I enjoy Solomon as a better version of Greenwood.

Bogue Chitto was a fun course and I believe will only get better as it gets played in.

Scottlandville is nice and LONG, but I don't let the sun go down on my arse out there.

Rather play Flanacher in the fall and winter, but when it's cut it's a nice course.

I like Highland, but the runners and general foot traffic can be a pain at times.

Haven't had a chance to hit PDF below NOLA yet, but plan too this fall.
Also like to run to Laf and play acadiana and Heyman from time to time. Heyman is the only course I've played with a bar on the course, got to love that.

Say what? It certainly is not a wooded course but it has some very shaded holes

Our (Mobile) top two players Cam Colglazier and Matt Orum finished in the top 20.

We’ve been running tournaments for 17 years and it’s never been this hard to get discs (wholesale). Innova has ultimate and dog discs, that’s it. Dynamic, Latitude 64 and Westside have a couple of putters combined with no midrange or drivers. Prodigy has a few discs. With Discraft, they just send you what they have. You don’t get to select what’s coming.

Some manufacturers are saying it’s a combination of the sport blowing up and not being able to get plastic to make the discs.
