John Curtis is going to be really good. STM will probably be really good. Barbe will be really good. West Monroe is supposed to be really good.

St Pauls has a couple kids committed to LSU, so I imagine they will be pretty good.

Curtis is loaded and are favorites to repeat in select.

I still can't believe West Monroe did not win it last year but that's baseball, they return a lot of talent as well and will be strong.

Barbe will always be there but were upset last year early.

Catholic beat Brusly in scrimmage and Brusly usually has a pretty good team and probably should win non select at that class since the better schools are in select.

It's a shame they split for baseball because you lose some really good playoff matchups in 5A with Barbe and West Monroe against select schools.

Barbe graduated a lineup that was mostly seniors, lots of question marks but will always be in the hunt!

ANYONE can win 1 game in baseball. I see WM taking a step back from last year. That's not saying they will suck, but they went 38-3 and lost in the finals. There is some returning talent, but how do you replace all we lost? Pearson-Angels, Young-Tech, Foust-ULM, Cupit-JUCO, Bolden-Bama/graduated early this year, Adams-3 year starter at catcher, Booth-Undefeated All State Pitcher.

Now the cupboard is not bare. Biggs-LSU, Jones-ULL, Dejean-Will sign P5, as well as Anderson-3 year starter. Biggs and Dejean are a VERY GOOD 1-2 punch on the mound. Just have to come together as a team and get better every week. With Louisiana's ridiculous single game semifinals and finals it doesn't matter who the best team is, just who is hot for 2 days.

Teurlings Catholic finna 3peat in Division 2. Hate the split, used to love crushing those high seeded public schools from weak districts come playoff time

Can't wait to see UNO committ Antoine Harris pitch for us... We should be favored to win district but someone will challenge us, maybe EJ this year, or Ehret or Grace King. It probably won't be Higgins bc they had plenty of seniors last year. The schedule probably won't be good enough for us to host unless we put up an absurd record.

Easy to do when you recruit vs a public who is dealt a hand to play with.

Yeah I hate the 1 game play in but it is what it is. Walker case to ya at Destrehan and beat a LSU commit. Their pitcher did great and they actually made a run deep in playoffs

I know it looked bad bc Barbe proposed it after they lost in round 1 of non select, but 2 out of 3 series for everyone would have been a great change for 5A. One game is just too small of a sample size, even with aces on the mound

Both teams in the 5A finals threw their aces in the semifinals.

Its the damn LHSAA wanting to make a spectacle of every state championship... Didn't they have all 12 (!!!) championships in Sulphur? Baseball used to be spread out. 5A in NOLA, 4A in Monroe, 3A in Crowley, 2A somewhere, and 1A, B, and C in Alexandria.

Neville will be stacked again. They won state last year and every arm is back. They have 10 seniors on roster.
