If it was anybody else specially their own team that was in the spot what they say about FSU would be vastly different

No. Most LSU fans would not be claiming they deserve to be in over FSU after losing to them if in the same position.
If LSU won the SEC and FSU lost that game and both were 12-1, then you can argue conference championship vs head to head.
With FSU, you have them ahead or even in every metric.
With UT, the same, so not sure the point.

Texas easily beat Bama at Bama. That should matter.
FSU never lost even with their 3rd string fresh qb making his first start in a conference championship. That should matter. They will get their backup back.
It's quite simple actually. It would be criminally wrong to leave FSU or Texas out and if you were in their shoes you would agree. Period.

Literally the only people that care for them to truly bend over backwards for Bama are the money men in the SEC and Bama fans. The media is just doing it to stir up controversy.

Alabama comes with baggage. The Gumps and the Longhorns are not mutually exclusive. If you invite Bama to the top 4 then you have to put Texas a spot ahead of them because of losing to them by double digits at home. So now you're fvcking over an undefeated FSU with not 1 but 2 teams. That's a huge jump. It's easier for the committee to just put FSU in and keep credibility.
