I'm so disturbed by the fact that I am pretty sure the guy in the second GIF has gotten more pussy than all of us combined, and that makes me has the sads

It's much more interesting he asked for it. That's a pretty clear sign about who he's interested in.
And yeah, if they get a deal they like, they might. There's a deep FA class, so teams with cap space don't need to go all in on AD, and people are underrating how much him only being locked in for a year affects the market.

The only reason to float it now is to let it be known he wants to go to the Lakers and will sign an extension there.

Nick Wright made an interesting point that you guys may have already covered. I guess it helps LAL to keep KCP and not deal him yet because with his expiring contract, that would then allow them to get a third stud down the line.

Nick Wright thinks they can get Kyrie and AD. At least he thinks they'll have the cap space for it.

That's why I posted a few pages back that Davis has the ultimate leverage. If he goes this route, teams like Boston and NY aren't getting in a bidding war to mortgage their future for one year of AD.
If he really wants the Lakers, NO can't spark the bidding war people talk about.

I get that sentiment, but what's he supposed to do - lie about his willingness to sign elsewhere?
One year of AD is still very valuable, and you never know if you might be able to convince him to re sign. However, it's not going to be this insane haul come summertime.
