OK, you misunderstand. We aren’t “banking” on anything. It’s an either/or scenario.

Either the Knicks get the #1 pick and trade Zion + plus pieces + picks

OR

they don’t and Boston trades us Tatum, Brown, picks etc

Simple really?

But hey you think LA has the best offer, eh?

I fail to see how you think those two scenarios are simple dude

The first one especially is bizarre considering the variables needed to make that happen

And considering the turmoil in Boston. I don't see how you could be confident in that scenario either

Whatever

If I were a betting man, I’d say the Boston deal is the most likely.

And turmoil? Because they traded Isaiah? Also, you make it sound like AD is a free agent. He’s not. Pels can trade him to wherever they feel like. AD will shut up (he’s never actually said anything about it really) about Boston if Kyrie stays and he’s winning

It is but if Boston is bidding against themselves. Why would they give you Tatum?

You need another team with assests to up the price. Right?

Knicks have to land a miracle draft pick
Bucks don't have shite to give ya
Lakers move on by then

So Ainge just fleeces the entire pel organization

The Pels DONT have to trade AD. He’s under contract through next season so you don’t let him walk out the door unless Tatum is walking in the other way. Also, if the Celts want to keep Kyrie, that’s the price they’ll have to pay

Lakers aren't gonna get any FAs this offseason. Doubtful any max level FAs move to another team before the AD situation is resolved.

How the frick is Magic gonna pitch an FA before the Davis situation is settled?

Magic: Come play for 35 year old LeBron and a bunch of kids we couldn't get rid of.

FA: OK cool and then AD comes over next year right?

Magic: Actually no, if we sign you AD ain't coming

FA: Oh...ok....let me call you back.

Yes. So far, the Lakers have felt conversations with New Orleans have been one-sided and they are growing increasingly pessimistic about the Pelicans willingness to do a deal with them.

Had LA drafted Tatum instead of Ball last year, this deal would've already been done.

Nope. Not in peli world

Tatum is only considered the next mj now or some shite because he plays for Boston.

Put him on la and pelis spin the narrative. They're sad

Why would LA move on? They started this conversation and want it as much as NYK or Boston.

Why not wait until Summer? Demand = price, simple economics. Why limit our options.

Right now picks are speculative. Why not get a little more clarity on next years draft pick odds.

Ball doesn’t want to be here. Why trade for him and his loudmouth father?

You think the LA deal is great, we get it. Everyone disagrees. Get over it.

ETA: Also, the price of trading AD to a team in the West should be higher than a team in the East.

well as of now it's the knicks or the Suns, possibly. and top 2 is fine, possibly top 3. zion would be great but it's not mandatory (to beat the lakers' offer). they also have young assets who are intriguing AND not about to demand max deals

if Ainge is completely bullshitting the pellies, somebody will give value that doesn't cripple our team like taking ingram would

can you please explain the total value of the lakers' offer to me?

Do yo I think that’s what the Pels ACTUALLY want?

Or is this a strategy to play with the Lakers until the offseason because this was always about other teams anyway?

That’s legit funny.

But I’ve been telling y’all awhile. It doesn’t matter what the Lakers offer. We will never accept. This has all been for show.
