The point is that AD has a better trade value if you can get LAL, NY, and Boston all bidding against each other this summer. I don't know why you don't get this.

No it’s sound logic. They have the cap space to go get Kyrie and KD plus the trade capital (if they get #1) to acquire AD. Sure they’ll have zero depth year 1 but when they get exceptions they’ll be a force to reckon with. All very possible.
