WVU's loss to Pitt in 2007.
I love you Dave Wannstedt. That game and 2011 Iowa State/OSU sort of balance out LSU’s karma I guess.
But frick the last 1:30 of the 2012 game.

Yeah I was at the WVU/Pitt game and the feeling of excitement from WVU fans before the game to how different and depressing it was after the game is something I'll never forget.
Pat White dislocated his thumb in the second quarter. He missed most of the game but returned for the final two drives in the fourth quarter. Macafee missing those gimmes was also unheard of as he made almost everything that entire year.

I will never get over that 2006 Rutgers game. We blew a 25-7 lead. Win that and we are likely playing Ohio State in the BCS Championship game.

2012 is way worse because we completely outplayed Bama all game
You're misremembering. Alabama was up 14-3 at the half. They had an 11 play 92 yard drive that took 6:00 and a 6 play 63 yard drive that ended in touchdowns. Yeldon and Lacy ran the ball very well, at or above 7 YPC for each.
LSU did outplay Alabama in the second half until the very end, even fair to say by a wide margin, but this revisionists history that LSU just outplayed them from the opening kickoff and somehow lost is false.

They left out the 1960 Kansas Mizzou game that 100% cost Mizzou both AP and Coaches natties.

Good. I’ve tried to block that game from my memory.

Stating the obvious here, but no loss has ever crushed a program more than WVU's loss to Pitt in 2007.
Never, ever, remind Pat McAfee that game happened.

I was at the 13-9 game, worst night ever, when we were walking back to the car after the game, I borrowed my friend's lighter and burned the ticket stub. To this day I have never watched one second of that game. Rich Rod bolted the next week to add insult to injury. That team was loaded and with RR would've been in the mix in 2008, but we hired the overmatched Bill Stewart (great guy, but mediocre coach) and lost to East Carolina, Colorado, and Pitt again.
Ironically we play Pitt on 9/13 this year and Rich Rod is back, can't make it up.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when Yeldon pretty much just walked into the end zone uncontested on the screen pass.
I will go to my grave believing that if he didn’t get kicked off of the team, Tyrann Mathieu would’ve blown that play up.

21-0 game so even though it sucked and ruined what would have been our best season ever, 2012 is way worse
2011 felt like the worst ending to a movie ever but the second half of that 2012 game felt like the ultimate redemption arc for the good guys
And then it instantly turned into “oh the bad guys don’t ever lose do they”

TBF, Kansas had the easiest schedule of all time, worse than Indiana’s this past year. They avoid Texas, Texas Tech and Oklahoma that year.

2011 felt like the movie where the hero defeats the villain at the climax and looks to have won (Game of the Century) but then a Diabolus ex Machina appears that miraculously gives the villain another shot (Iowa State upset) and takes full advantage (rematch).

The 2012 LSU / Alabama game has to be up there.
I was there. It stung. It literally hurt my chest when I was leaving. That said…I’m a believer in the butterfly effect. If we win, and go on to win the 2012 title, Les stays as long as he wants, or until he gets caught banging coeds.
The offense probably never evolves, 2019 never happens. LSU likely hasn’t won a natty since 2012, and who knows who our coach is now or where the program is.

2006 LSU Auburn was some chicken shite officiating. They win that game, LSU goes to Atlanta and beats UF IMO. 3 turnovers killed them in Gainesville. No way they would've done it again. UF did beat them, and hammered Ohio St. Different scenario if they beat Auburn. It is what it is

As a college football fan I have to say kick six and whoa trouble with the snap have to be to me the most memorable.
