tbf, he was a damn good QB when healthy. He just had one of the worst lines in the league and no RB help either.

I don’t know which shocked me more, this or the 10 seconds earlier I thought someone had actually signed Vinnie Testaverde.

For a few seconds I thought the same thing.

Damn hate to see a players careers end like this. Really thought he would be the next group of great QBs.

His o line was actually good last year. They had a ton of money available and the o line was good and had a good rb/we/te

Poised to be really good for a few years then this happens? Wild

I know. But he still has to be considered a big disappointment with how his career transpired. Though he never had any protection in front of him.

If you can believe it, Andrew Luck is on the sideline at this moment, chatting with teammates like nothing is out of the ordinary. A surreal scene

he was well-liked by teammates probably...

let's be honest. it doesn't make sense for guys to kill themselves in the NFL to squeeze seasons out of broken down bodies. you might jeopardize your body for 30 years to get one more season of football out of it

we just have to get used to shorter careers in the NFL for our favorite stars

He had the talent though. So Kiper was right to think highly of him.

Offer Kaep a prove it contract. Vet minimum with a ton of incentives.

If Kaep says no, the NFL should sue to recover the muh collusion settlement because they'll have proof he didn't want to play - he rejected an offer (after deliberately burning his bridges with the Ravens).

But I absolutely hate this for Luck.

Speaking of “luck,” the franchise you are drafted to can make a huge difference in how your career goes. This news makes me sick for him. Damn.

Luck massively screwed up not coming out the year before. Carolina's not a great organization by any means but they're much better than Indy. He would have had a HOF career if he went there.

I'm surprised more of them don't get to 2nd contract, collect the guaranteed money and retire before 30.

Well considering so many players live paycheck to paycheck, I doubt they can retire partway through a deal (especially with high guaranteed money). Most teams try to avoid huge roster bonuses that guarantee; and I bet many will be even more cautious now.

Luck is walking away from about 52 million and is looking at paying back 12.8 million in unearned signing bonus if the Colts try to get it back. Even though Luck will have gotten 12 million in guaranteed roster bonus this year, it's gonna be a big check to write.

Have you seen him play when healthy? The hype was justified.

I have. And no it was not.

He was good. Nothing more. Never as good or great as advertised.
