I think that injury could be worse than they let on. The "calf" injury could easily have been a Durant "calf" injury meaning that Achilles is going to go and isn't responding to treatment.

I'm probably overreacting a bit. Perhaps he has been telling them he wants to retire but they've been trying to convince him to stay. In fact I'm willing to bet that's the case. He seems like a standup guy from what I've seen.

Colts were probably just stuck between a rock and a hard place here. They couldn't exactly give him an ultimatum. They probablty just had to wait for him to know for sure.

Wikipedia trolls don't waste time.

"Chad Patrick "Swag"[1] Kelly (born March 26, 1994) is an American football quarterback taking over for the guy who screwed thousands of fantasy teams, for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). "

Sounds like he played it well.

don't forget the cred of being able to say he balled out when healthy... there's something to be said for retiring with more (insert sport) left in you

If you can believe it, Andrew Luck is on the sideline at this moment, chatting with teammates like nothing is out of the ordinary. A surreal scene

Fantasy teams everywhere that drafted him.

Damn... the Colts have no one to blame but themselves. They got Luck brutalized behind that shite line for years.

Really bad luck for anyone that already drafted him in Fantasy.

Eta: Like OJ Simpson did

Luck could take a few years off and still come back to a decade long career.

Damn sucks for those who already did their FFB draft

That's what you get for being stupid enough to draft before the team rosters are set.

I'm surprised more of them don't get to 2nd contract, collect the guaranteed money and retire before 30.

you don't get to keep the guaranteed money if you retire without fulfilling the contract.

I thought this was a really bad joke at first. I remember when everyone was saying he was the next star QB. Didn’t Kiper have him his highest rated draft QB since Elway?

Have you seen him play when healthy? The hype was justified.

That was a genuinely shocking bottom line breaking news.

I don’t know which shocked me more, this or the 10 seconds earlier I thought someone had actually signed Vinnie Testaverde.

But I absolutely hate this for Luck.
Speaking of “luck,” the franchise you are drafted to can make a huge difference in how your career goes. This news makes me sick for him. Damn.
