I guess off that list, I'd have to pick Eugene.

That being said, it's a terribad list.

Eugene and Madison are some of the best college towns in America

Hitting Eugene later this year for the ASU/OR game. Can't freaking wait!

Pretty sure we're hitting up a couple of wineries while we're out there - any other can't miss activities?

Knoxville was a terrible choice.

I would go with Athens; however, if I could choose any SEC town it would definitely be Nashville.

Eugene and Madison are the only legit choices from the site.

People keep saying that, but I can only assume you haven't been to any sporting events in Morgantown,WV

I heard the student section in Morgantown gets off at throwing fricking batteries at opposing players and fans...any truth to that?

BR is only slightly larger than K'ville or Madison. It qualifies for this list, it just isn't good enough.

I can neither confirm nor deny, I would put it on par with the piss balloons, except there is video evidence of a sPitt bball assistant coach getting pelted with a quarter in the face, but in all fairness it didn't come from the student section. Things get rowdy up here no doubt, but the movie about Syracuse RB Ernie Davis is complete bullshite, they didn't even come to Morgantown that year

I've heard East Carolina is pretty fun especially around Halloween

Greatest Halloween atmosphere in America...as for sports, its pretty legit for being such a mediocre CUSA school. Our college baseball fan base shits on UNC's and States, and football isn't too far off

But overall as a college sports town, probably not in the top 25

Chapel Hill is a better party town than Durham by a long shot.

Say what? BR >>>> Knoxville, especially from the standpoint of a student or a visiting fan.

It's virtually impossible not to have a good time in BR. It's far harder to have a good time in Knoxville. Two words: Bible Belt.

There's a reason so many Vol's get into trouble. They're bored as all get out.

Conversely, you don't hear about incidents like that at LSU. Everyone is too busy partying is why.

BR >>>>> Knoxville as a college town. And it ain't close.

Austin is the best college town of any I've been to (around 25ish). It's not a typical college town, but that doesn't' mean it can't be the best.

I know it's a homer pick, but nothing beats the live music scene here. Throw in SXSW, Butt-numb-a-thon, and Austin City Limits and my pick easily.

You've obviously never had the pleasure of witnessing Bucket Man give an impromptu performance near State St. in BR.
