Can you imagine if every other sport was played like soccer?
NFL--Congradulations, you scored two touchdowns in the last three games you played combined. You get to advance into the playoffs.
MLB--You scored two runs combined in the last three games you played. You're in the playoffs
PGA--You made two birdies in the last 54 holes. You just qualified for the Masters.
NHL--You scored two goals in your last three games. You're in the playoffs.
Any sport where three games with a final score of 1-1, 0-0, and 1-0 is enough to advance in a tournament is not a sport. Soccer is to the television viewer's eyes what songs with Yoko Ono singing backup vocals are to people's ears.

I mean, if you really like 90+ minutes of a lot of people running around but not scoring and having matches end without a winner, then have at it.
But the number of people in this country who actually like soccer is much, much, much lower than the number of people who pretend to like soccer.

It would really really suck to be European and all you have is fricking soccer. shite is so boring and so slow, just painful to have to watch compared to our real sports.

yeah it's painful to watch 90 minutes of gameplay without an hour of commercials thrown in. it really makes it drag without constant commercial breaks to feed my ADHD. Also I prefer sports that I can tweet in between plays

maybe people just like watching soccer... It's cool if it doesn't have enough piped in music and highlights to appeal to you. Maybe when you have children you'll be able to enjoy 90 minutes of solitude watching a soccer match.

Meh some of them have basketball, some have cricket, some have rugby, some love their combat sports, and some have hockey
