Yeah, I figured so, it’s just strange not having a ton of commercials.

Also, does anyone know the rules about players coming out of high school? Like could they pay high school five stars for a few years before they join the NFL or do they have similar restrictions as the NFL?
The AAF is apparently trying to be a complete minor league to the NFL. As such, they are following the NFL eligibility rules.
The XFL, on the other hand, isn't following the NFL eligibility rules.
quote:
In December, XFL commissioner Oliver Luck told the Sports Business Radio Road Show that the league is "not subject" to the eligibility rules in place in the NFL, adding that, in theory, the XFL could select players directly from high school.
“But I wouldn’t rule it out,” Luck said, per PFT. “Nor would I rule out taking a player who played a year of college football and let’s say isn’t eligible academically, which happens. Or a player who is two years out of college, and is transferring, and would have to sit out a year. A lot of guys don’t want to. ... We are in that position to be able to take players who wouldn't be eligible to play in the NFL. ...
It's a work in progress but the XFL seems like it will have looser eligibility rules than the NFL and AAF.

What would bother me would be if this league is allowed to cause the same disruptions to a city as the NFL currently does

Illegal defense penalty on Atlanta for illegal rush.

Spurrier gets a big play on a crossing route. Stop me if you've heard that one before.

Yeah, I think they anticipated subpar offensive line play so they put in the rule that you can only rush 5 guys.

So far product is 8/10 for entertainment, 6.5/10 for athleticism/play, 7/10 for attendance (actually looks like a decent crowd). This may work and if it does, I think the XFL can too.
