We get 5 minutes of commercial every time there is a dead ball. Score that needs any kind of review? Commercial. Point after? Commercial. Kickoff? Commercial. Injury on the field? Commercial. Review on a play? Commercial. Punt after any drive longer than 3 plays? Commercial.
I also don't think they are doing less commercials as some sort of fan friendly thing but rather b/c they know they aren't going to be doing big spot sales early on.
If they start getting consistently good ratings commercial creep will 100% commence.
