I flipped to Hawaii UNLV and when the announcers went to a game break to show the highlights they said Michigan was allowed to have a final play b/c of a penalty.

Yep. And why wouldn't they? They've seen every major network lie over and over again about politics and the American people just take it. They figure they can lie about rigging and blatant corruption on a sports network and all will still be well.

Western Michigan played great for 60 minutes. But some days you gotta be great for 60:01.

Yea I don’t think this one goes quietly.

It’s simply too egregious.

I agree, as much as they would want to ignore it or act like it was a judgement call or something, It’s gonna be a massive black eye if they try to ignore it.

I’m doubtful anything worthwhile happens but at least something will.

Maybe the militant Ohio State fanatics will follow through enough we actually get some semblance of justice.

Reporting for duty, boss!

Seriously, how has neither conference released a statement yet? Or the officiating crew? This is the most blatant screw job of a game ending I can remember.

I can understand why NCAA wouldn’t want to “open” this can of worms, but this isn’t some controversial 50/50 call.

It was a blatant screw up. Stepping in to reverse the outcome in this case doesn’t mean ncaa would have to do it in other instances moving forward

There’s a difference between questionable penalty calls that significantly influence a game vs. a blatantly wrong call using obvious video evidence that directly impacted the end result

That later scenario rarely happens. And it was blatant as hell tonight.

Sadly, it won’t matter because that’s a 4 loss Michigan team.

I can’t wait to hear what absolute fiction nonsense the powers that be come up with as the official stance

It’s not just Michigan that is impacted though. The 2nd and third order effects of this could be enormous.

Teams that have Michigan on their schedule just got gifted a SoS boost
