Well he's certainly box office draw. Can't deny that.
Wonder what sort of career he'd have had if he had focused on MMA exclusively after college and never done wrestling. Same with Kurt Angle after the 96 Olympics.

This is a fight where Lesnar possibly just has too much of a size advantage. DC has the huge all around skill advantage no doubt. But Brock has to cut more to make the hw weight limit than DC does to make the light hw weight limit if I am not mistaken. That is a massive size difference considering Lesnar at least does have DC’s main skill beat (wrestling) and has trained mma for a while now. I’d pick DC to win but that is a much tougher call than the fight looks at just face value.

I agree cormier is a more decorated wrestler. I guess what I meant was if the 2 of them had a real wrestling match I would favor Brock pretty heavily just because he is close in skill and has such a size/strength advantage it puts him over for me. That being Cormier’s biggest strength in an octagon makes this a lot closer imo.
And to your Brock doesn’t like to get hit comment .........that is pretty much the main reason I would still take DC if I were picking this fight.

The fact that Lesnar is allowed to fight shows the low integrity of the sport and the Nevada commission.

Btw. As a big MMA fan I do have to agree the integrity of letting Brock come back, straight in to a title fight no less, is questionable at best imo as well.

Hmmm. Lesnar has appeared in 9 MMA fight and has 3 losses and a no decision.
Cormier has 27 MMA fights with 1 loss and 1 no decision, both to John Jones. Another indicator is that Cormier just defeated a guy who beat two of the guys loss to and the other guy Lesnar loss to was beaten by Cornier.
Still has to be decided in the ring or octagon or whatever they call it.

I 100% agree its all about the dollar. Lesnar has no business getting this fight when you look at what everyone else has to do and how they have to conduct themselves. All that said, Lesnar has a better chance against a guy who’s bread and butter is wrestling than anything else. I am again picking DC in this fight. But if he goes in there and wants to show Brock he is a better wrestler that opens the door big time.
