The way the media is talking, you'd think half the QBs have 20+ game streaks going, but only 4 are in double-digits.

Drew Brees-48*(37 uninterrupted)
Tom Brady-37
Matt Ryan-20
Peyton Manning-12*(5 uninterrupted)
Josh Freeman-7
Eli Manning-7
Andy Dalton-4
Andrew Luck-4
Jay Cutler-2
Matt Hasselbeck-2
Philip Rivers-2
Aaron Rodgers-2
Matt Schaub-2
Mike Vick-2
Sam Bradford-1
Christian Ponder-1
Tony Romo-1
Alex Smith-1
Brandon Weeden-1
Russell Wilson-1
Matt Cassel-0
Ryan Fitzpatrick-0
Joe Flacco-0
Blaine Gabbert-0
Robert Griffin III-0
Kevin Kolb-0
Cam Newton-0
Carson Palmer-0
Ben Roethlisberger-0
Mark Sanchez-0
Matthew Stafford-0
Ryan Tannehill-0

*Drew Brees did not play in Week 17 against the Panthers in 2009 as the Saints had the #1 seed wrapped up

*Peyton Manning missed all of 2011 with a neck injury

I thought it was funny how many QBs have 0 and 1 game streaks with how "easy" it is in todays NFL to throw TDs

In case anyone is wondering about the uninterrupted:

Brady and Brees are tied 1st all-time in uninterrupted games with a TD pass with 37 each. They both broke the record this weekend:
Brees-37
Brady-37
Favre-36
Krieg-28
P. Manning-27
Unitas-26

Wow. Absolutely incredible when you consider only 7 quarterbacks have a streak longer than 2 games. Had no idea touchdown games were that sparse.

3rd best all-time. He should also top Unitas' number by years end

also that teams have a trusted running back to give them ball to rather than attempt to throw a pass inside the 5

This list is incredible. IMO the TD Game streak is now the only way to really rate how great QB's are.

1. Brees
2. Unitas

Montana, Marino, Elway, Manning...These guys no longer need be discussed!

Brees

uninterrupted

This is also an interesting twist on this stat and carries major weight IMO.

Yup. Brees can't really stumble, or Brady will seemingly pass him in no time. Amazing to think that there are two QBs right now with that long of a current streak (first and third all time).

Meh.
Not to take anything away from Brady and Brees, but it just speaks to how much the game has changed, IMO.

If the game were that much easier for QBs, a) the record would have been broken already, b) more than two guys would be near it.

Uhh, 100% sarcasm on my part actually. Passing records get broke every year now. The game has changed. This stat means almost nothing to me.

It is a record over 50 years old. Who thought this was easy?

Anyone who did doesn't watch football. It can be damn near impossible to get a first down lots of times.

Yeah, yeah, I know you measure the importance of records by how close the competition is, but I think this is one of the lamest media hype jobs in a while. The only streak of any importance in football might be Favre's games played. This isn't baseball. Total TDs, season TDs, all are a big deal. At least one TD a game for a bunch of games? ZOMG, amazing!
