They should've started doing this 25 years ago.

ND fans and the institution has an elitism to it that they think they are above everyone else.
The ratings do not show it anymore.
In 2025, the most-watched teams of the 2025 regular season, according to Nielsen Big Data + Panel data, were as follows:
1. Alabama
2. Texas
3. Georgia
4. Ohio State
5. Oklahoma
6. LSU
7. Tennessee
8. Auburn
9. Michigan
10. A&M
11. Florida
12. Ole Miss
13. South Carolina
14. FSU
15. Notre Dame
16. Vanderbilt
17. Missouri
18. Penn State
19. Miami
20. Oregon
Congratulations. 15th. You're behind 11/16 SEC schools as well. And you joke about the "it just means more" slogan ...

Then they will just go beat the crap out of a bunch bottom tier schools and go undefeated.

Crazy that you (SEC schools) are successful when you do right by your business partners (other SEC schools).
Then you have ND throwing a hissy fit and calling the ACC disrespectful for lobbying for an ACC school (Miami) to make the playoff over a non ACC school (ND). GTFO

GOOD
They should not get special treatment.
Play by the same rules as everyone else.

The odd thing is it sounds like every conference signed this damn thing
They did. Every conference commissioner signed off, and the advisory committee that drafted the proposal was comprised of selected ADs from each P4 conference.

The Atheletic Directors should be directing their anger towards the conference commissioners who approved the MOU

And they play all of their home games on regular over-the-air broadcast TV with NBC and still end up behind schools that have most games on cable networks.

I’m all for this. frick THE IRISH. drop em USC. Even though that’s the only game they play i enjoy. Make their schedule so pathetic they become irrelevant until begging to join the acc in All sports. Tired of ND’s shite

Best post you've ever made on here.

or the way that Ohio State does (seeking uneven revenue distribution, private equity)
Historically OSU has played nice in the sandbox. They aren't happy with this Fox stuff where they can't have any CA recruits in for games because Fox wants them on noon ET every week. Add in that Fox added a Michigan donor/schill for their pregame show and OSU isn't thrilled
I still think you should do equal rev. sharing etc. but then the network needs to give a little on showing all programs somewhat equally

Dan Wolken, didn't read.
The MOU wasn't signed without the other commissioners/AD's knowing about it. Sankey has been very pro-ND the last few days and Petitti, at least publicly, hasn't said anything anti-ND I have seen. ACC is irrelevant unless they want to release ND of the GOR which would kill the conference. Big 12 is the only conference that has come out publicly against ND.

Found ND's PR rep

ND could've just played the bowl, get some former players to whine about it on ESPN, rake in the sympathy for the next 3 years, and get a make-up spot next year like the ACC.
Every move they've made since Sunday afternoon has been the wrong one and they're going to end up wrecking their program beyond repair.

ND will be fine. They have been independent and survived on their own through all kinds of iterations of structure changes.
I am interested to see what their next moves are. If they lead the charge to get other teams to break out of conference chokeholds and out from under a useless NCAA, then they may be on to something - formation of a super league of 32 teams and run it similar to the NFL in terms of divisions, a front office, and an overall commissioner.

We need to go to Josh Pate's 7 Power conferences with 10 teams each.
