Dumb. Just stop the touch foul calls

Swallow the fricking whistles.

Can't even hand check.

Went to see McNeese and Lamar the other day and I won't go back. So many bullshite ticky tack fouls it ruined the flow of the game.

That coupled with the shite music blaring pregame and at every stop it's not very family atmosphere. Mix the music up with something people in the stands that pay for tickets may want to listen to more may come.

The wife loves in person sports. Football and baseball. She said she didnt care to go back with all the stopages. It's as if the refs wanted a stage themselves.

I've heard at least 20 legitimate complaints about the NBA over the last few years and not a single one had to do with game length.

Way to go Silver.

GET RID OF 3 POINTERS

That, more than anything, has ruined the NBA

How about just have all the players actually play every night? That would be great

1. Call Blatant Traveling and Double Dribble.
2. Flagrant Fouls called for obvious fouls when inside of two minutes.
3. Lower the Salary Cap.

Unlike the NBA, where players cannot camp out in the paint for the whole possession and need to clear the lane every three seconds, in the Olympics, there is no one stopping a player from staying under the rim the entire time
No. This is the absolute worst part about college basketball.

Trapezoid-shaped key or lane
In the Olympics, basketball rules are slightly different from the NBA and Eurleague.

FIBA hasn't used a trapezoid shaped lane since 2010.

frick this. The worst thing about basketball in general, especially the NBA, is the influx of the Euro/Olympic style game. Bring back post play (move or eliminate the 3 pt line, allow more contact in the paint), make the euro step illegal again, and get away from the homogenous game of 90% of the players being 6'6" or taller jump shooters.

The worst thing about the current NBA is that a player like Toni Kukoc in his prime would be a 35 pt scorer and MVP candidate every year.

This would be pretty simple. Contracts are guaranteed, only if you play. If you miss a game, you receive only 50% of your pay. It would pretty easy to adjust the contracts and would be hard to argue against. It's fair for both sides. It's a performance business. If the talent doesn't show up, there is no product. If a guy has a major injury, he still receives a good portion of his pay..

Cut back the time outs and change the 1 and 1 to a bigger number. I dont watch enough NBA to know what it is but in college on the 7th foul it becomes a 1 and 1 and after 10 becomes an automatic 2 shots. College could change to 10 for the 1 and 1 and 13 for the 2 and reduce the second half TO's by 2. That would hopefully speed things up.

Screw that. Refs just need to call less fouls. Incidental contact should be allowed. No anticipation fouls. If you don’t see it and/or hear it, don’t call it.

3pt obsession is part of the issue, but I could even deal with this if it weren’t for the refs. How they don’t understand that the audience gets extremely bored with stoppages of play and free throw shooting is beyond me. Also, no one should be able to foul out. It’s asinine that something so arbitrary can turn a game.

3pt touch fouls and baiting vs a bulldozer in the lane.

One gets called often
One gets ignored

Indirectly pushes the game towards more 3pt shots.

I mean look at LaMelo, he jacks up 10+ 3pt shot a game for no fricking reason, it's not a good product to see.

You can't let 20 teams into the playoffs and expect the players to play hard in the regular season or for the fans to give a shite about it. They've made the regular season games little more than exhibitions and they're treated as such by everyone involved.

That was the running joke 40 yrs ago, "The NBA plays 82 games in the regular season just to eliminate Cleveland."

Why would the players agree to less pay? And they would have to agree to it

It’s like your boss asking you to take half pay on PTO or Sick leave. Would you agree to just change your contract for that?

would you agree to half paying you suffer a very common work place injury?

I think the issue games run into and this is all sports

Fans who care about the outcome want reviews, want the fouls called want their team to call TO and stop the clock at the end when they need to.

Fans who care about the entertainment product don’t want that.

How do you balance that? Because fans who care about any given game likely
make up a good portion of the viewers of a specific game vs casually viewers clicking to it in a weeknight
