So why is Acuña’s 70 still the anomaly if the rules make it easy?

The data has already been posted ITT and the number of steals increased this year is noticeable. This doesn’t mean acuna wouldn’t still have swiped a ton of bags this year, he would have, but it would’ve been around 40/50 not 70.

Idk how you argue that making the bases bigger, limiting pick off attempts and enforcing a pitch clock (all in one season) are not some of the biggest rule changes the sport has seen in modern history
