Hitting the ball more pure than he's used to the last 2 years. I think he doesn't feel he can come off his follow-through for the fact he's used to leaving it short. He'll settle back in to his "Tiger swing."

At Pebble they were saying that due to his recent swing changes, his hands are farther forward in his downswing, so he takes a much steeper angle at the ball and takes out a bigger divot than most with the wedge, so my guess is, he's still getting used to hitting them.

He struggled with that same problem from '96 - 99. He was always airmailing greens with wedges. Hopefully he can get it sorted out.

I work At this course and am working this event. Gave Toms some purple and gold beads to put in his bag on Tuesday and followed him all afternoon. Yelling geaux tigers and such. Guy definitely knows me at this point but as I was driving by the range two bama fans saw my shirt and started with the roll tide... I proceeded to tiger bait em and Toms heard it on the range and gave em a tiger bait too! Bad arse! Told him I would see him tomorrow and to cheer for the tigers against Georgia tonight

I find myself pulling for the SEC golfers on tour the same way I pull for SEC teams in bowl games and Toms is one of my favorite non-Bama golfers.
I love and can appreciate the story about Toms at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. There was a theory that he purposely sandbagged the first 3 rounds because a late tee time on Monday would have conflicted with the BCS championship game being that they were in Hawaii and the late tee times actually finished well after the BCS title game started. Toms denied it but it's funny because I could totally relate to him if I was in that position.

I don't think he's gonna do much. He needs to get out there and start hitting golf shots. I watched it yesterday but couldn't hear what the announcers had to say but it looked like he was hitting a cut the whole day. That par 5 on the back when he missed it way left looked like he pulled it with a cut swing even though the pin was on the left side. When he starts playing what the shot calls for I think he'll finally get some wins.

He said on that par 5 he hit too much club because of the altitude, said he should have hit 3 iron but didn't make sense to being it was 270 yards.
With his new swing, all of his shots are cuts. Apparently it Helps him stay more neutral during the swing.
Honestly he just needs to play as many competive rounds as possible, being on the range will only do so much for you.

I swear this tournament and the masters are the hardest to follow and enjoy because of NO SHOTTRACKER.
I mean wtf? Why can't they have shottracker for this tournament? They do it for pretty much every other tourney but this one.
