I think it was against Auburn. He was first team SEC that year too.

Does the 1901 Michigan team not get counted for some reason?

- No one scored a point on them (including the bowl game)
- 4 teams didn't even make it into Michigan territory
- Only 2 teams made it inside the Michigan 30 and both of those were because of penalties.

I think these stats are NCAA. Not sure, but that’s my guess. So 1906 or 1910 depending.

Barry stats were unbelievable. Those stats don’t take into the bowl game so it was only 11 games. Almost 240 yards per game AVERAGE. Insane.

He added another 222 yds and 5 yds in the bowl game

Those Barry Sanders stats are just incredible. That was in the era of 10/11 games per year, limited bowl games, and no conference championships. They also played in a big boy conference, not the Sun Belt. Granted, no one is getting 44 carries in a game these days, but still.

Derrick Henry might have been the last RB in a major conference to get 40 carries in a game. Granted I might be completely wrong.

The entire stadium gave Tech and Troy Edwards a standing ovation as they left the field. If they only knew that was the beginning of the Nebraska decline.

Also, what are the odds two people throw for exactly 734 yards?

What happened to Edwards I’m the pros? I looked at his stats and he had a pretty good rookie season but sort of fell off a cliff after that

They set the single-season FBS record for most yards and most points allowed in a single season. This included giving up 50.42 points per game (breaking Louisiana-Lafayette’s record of 50.27 in 1997) and allowed 617.4 yards per game (breaking Kansas' record of 560.83 in 2015).

0 points allowed in a regular season (1939) — While a few teams were able to accomplish this long before the modern era of college football, General Neyland’s 1939 team was the last college team to pitch a season-long shutout. That team was the SEC co-champion, along with Georgia Tech and Tulane. UT finally gave up its first points of the season in that season’s Rose Bowl, losing in shutout fashion, 14-0, to Southern Cal. This isn’t a feat that any team is going to pull off ever again, so future Vols need not feel bad about not living up to the ’39 defense.

Our 08 team had given up only 7 points through the first 9 games, but I guess the defense got sloppy and gave up 4 in the final game. (4 points - could that have been two safties, and it was the offense that got sloppy?}
