Watching Haslem get flogged would probably draw more tickets sold than a Browns game.

They were a playoff team just 2 years ago. And some thought they would be pretty good last year.

But I am definitely expecting a circus this year.

And this is the VP of Football

What would be the cap hit cutting Watson?

Spotrac says he is owed $36m in 25 and $80.7m in 26. So roughly $130m.

On his 3rd team in 4 years already Kenny Pickett

5th round pick nepo baby Shedeur Sanders

Flacco vs Pickett for the job
Other gets traded prior to the season
Predator never sees the field
Gabriel to backup
Shedeur to sell jerseys

If the Saints had drafted Dillon Gabriel, I would have been so depressed. That guy is the definition of mid.

Like someone echo'd

Watson - IR with the new injury
Flacco and Pickett - you already know what you're gonna get with them. Either a spot starter or backup at best. So roll with one. Trade the other
Gabriel and Sanders - let them duke it out and see who can take over next year

They take a franchise QB early in the draft

So why waste TWO picks this year on QBs if your plan is to get your franchise QB next season?

This makes zero sense.

If the Cleveland Browns were to cut Deshaun Watson, the cap hit would be $172.3 million in 2025 and $135.4 million in 2026. That number will be $53.7 million in 2027, when Watson won’t be on the team anymore and the Browns won’t be able to restructure his cap hits. Cleveland could shift some of the $81.6 million cap hit in 2026 to 2027.
This was from a Front Office Sports article, but this Over the Cap table shows $167M for pre-June 1st in 2025 and $131M for pre-June 1st in 2026. The $81M number looks similar on both.

Browns did that on purpose so Sanders would know he been disrespek3d. Now in true WWE style not only will Sanders make the roster he will light the league on fire when he finally cracks a game cuz he was disrespekt3d. He’ll be starting at some point in the season and it’s all media will talk about for days. You heard it here first

if they cut him now, the guaranteed money hits the cap. They need to string this out and say he can't play because of the injury.
Aren’t the Browns also possibly hoping to void the remainder of his contract since supposedly he reinjured his achilles because he wasn’t following the team medical staff’s protocols? Or is that possibility dead?

i feel really bad for Gabriel. He's a very smart bus driver QB that I think could do well in the NFL, but now he's in a shite show.

I hope they only keep 1 of them and trade the other to get a fresh start
