Yeah us losing to Clemson the last two years should definitely be held against us this year. Where do you retards even come up with some of this stuff

Congrats on the big win today.
If A&M never gets to play in an SECCG, at least you can say you won on the same day one was being played.

Texags is set up for a monumental melt if Clemson wins a close one.

Losing by four touchdowns to an actual playoff team should be held against you.
No other argument needed.

Aggies on this board have used Ohio State's losses in prior years to Iowa and Purdue for their arguments the past 2 weeks
Pot meet kettle

Because I asked where it happened? Bulletproof logic.

Maybe but they won’t, they wouldn’t be competitive against any of these playoff teams anyways so it’s pointless

We'll see. Ohio St needed to make up the lack of games by having impressive wins. They didn't do that.
The committee won’t leave OSU out

FWIW I hope Clemson loses and you guys get in. I’m just not sure how seeding goes then.

It would basically be how they would consider wanting to avoid a rematch and simply rating teams as they think they should be ranked
No idea how that would shake out

Right and OSU can't play OSU, Bama is 10 of those wins, and they lost that game.
So in the games they won, combined 27-48

NU was a top 10 rushing defense with great linebackers.
Sure bro, keep telling yourself that
I'm not going to downplay OSU 2014 and how good they were, they were an awesome team with NFL players at every position group. But that game was definitely an outlier and Bama's top ilb got hurt in the second half I believe. Not an excuse, OSU still wins even if he stays in. Zeke played an amazing game, and OSU had the players that season to put together a great performance like that. It also helped that Cardale Jones had a cannon and could toss it 50-60 yards over the Db's heads -- the defense had to account for this. Zeke get a lot of the glory for that game, deservedly so, but I don' think it can be underplayed that Cardale Jones and his style of play really helped OSU accomplish what they wanted to achieve.
Anyways, this team is not nearly as good, and I imagine you understand that after this game since you obviously watch football.
Perhaps OSU gets in and Sermon does run wild, but all I'm saying is that Sermons running for 300 yards against a way overmatched NW team b/c Fields could not throw the ball (and b/c your coach had a poor gameplan) should not be construed as a MORE COMPELLING reason to put them in the playoff. Some of the guys on ESPN were already parroting that line saying 'oh yeah this game against NW shows BALANCE, it shows that they can find different ways to win the game'
This is a fancy way of saying that looked bad for half the game and just leaned on a team that they should have beat by 4-5 tds.
OSU is a good team, they have a lot of really good players. But imo they should not get in having only played 6 games and struggling mightily against NW. But you will likely get the benefit of the doubt.

You want to show me how many other teams could be missing 22 players and do that? The list is short.

Against NW, probably quite a few. Also, how many of those were starters/serious contributors? 4-5? Olave, Browning, that other WR, and who else? I don't think y'all were missing any of your starting offensive line, though I may be wrong.

I mean I will never say that.
I think OSU should have run the ball all game and won by 30 when they realized NU was playing the pass really well.
However, this team is talented enough to win every game they play. They were damn sloppy today

this team is not nearly as good
I watched every game of 2014 OSU, and this team is just as good as that team, likely better at a lot of positions. This team at least for the most part stops the run, unlike 2014 where they gave up 200 yards to multiple rushers. That 2014 team came together at the right time.
And Cardale Jones was not good; that's the biggest myth in the history of college football sports. Look at his big throws and they were either wide open or a WR making a great play on a vastly underthrown ball. I love him for what he did during the run, but he was never good
