Having recently torn my calf muscle I have MAD respect for Kobe.

And just so I am on record the "he was playing too many minutes and thus got injured" is bullshite. This type of injury is not related to overuse in my opinion.

I remember watching the game Wade dislocated his shoulder. He was literally in tears crying on the sideline.

Yea, its like the Ryan Howard achilles injury. He's swung his bat around thousands of times, it's just that that one swing happened to hit his achilles and rupture it. Same thing with Kobe.

And Howard is playing now, it just took awhile, so I expect Kobe to come back.

I find this to be funny because most people will say Wade was crying because he is a pussy, but if Kobe was in the same situation, he would have been crying because he is so competitive and knew his season was over.

re-read your statement and think about it a little bit more.

Apparently I'm naive....do we not build Kobe up to be this NBA gladiator and DWade to be a flopping pussy?

The game has to stop for 10 mins so they can roll around and scream like their leg snapped in half, when in reality it was just a twisted ankle.

About 9 years ago I snapped both my tibia and fibula in half playing basketball. Last Sunday I suffered a Grade 3 ankle sprain.

The worst pain from the initial injury itself was the ankle sprain...I did just what you said here. Rolled around in pain for a few minutes. When I broke my leg, I was in shock from seeing it but the pain wasn't close. I was cracking jokes telling people I needed some milk while I waited on the ambulance. Bizarre I know...

Note: Now post injury/surgery, getting over the leg break was agonizing pain...I'm talking real pain.

yeah, a severe sprain can be some of the worst pain there is.

Wheelchair for dislocated shoulder? LOL

Paul Pierce being completely fine to walk 15 minutes after this pic? LOL

I dislocated my shoulder about 6 months ago and rammed that fricker back in and finished my adult league kickball game (had surgery 2 months ago for torn labrum and rotator cuff from the incident)

Grade three ankle sprain where you tear all your ligaments is the worst pain I've ever felt.

I was in a hard cast and on crutches for 2 months, then another 2 of physical therapy.

It was awful.

I'll never forget that sound hearing the ligaments snap.
